Hopefully, you’re not following the crowd and you’re living outside of a little box.
I just love this song by Malvina Reynolds called Little Boxes and I wanted to share it with you. Enjoy!

Nadir and I have been “training” for the Amazing Ring Race for about the last 2 weeks. We’ve been running around downtown Seattle trying to figure out hidden alleyways and shortcuts while looking for monuments that might be clues during the race. We’ve also been building our physical and mental stamina to endure the two hour race around downtown Seattle while solving puzzles and figuring out clues. Tonight, we spent a good 30 minutes stretching to loosen up for tomorrows race and all day Nadir’s been “carb-loading” because he read online that it would help him have more energy on race day. Hey, whatever works.
Tomorrow is the big race and we’re very excited! We participated in the Portland Diamond Dash a few weeks ago on a whim and now we’re pumped for the Seattle race. Up for grabs is a $15,000 diamond ring, and heck yes I want it! Wish us luck 🙂

The other day I was at a friend’s house and they had some instant coffee because they didn’t have a coffee maker. I wanted to make the best iced coffee possible, so I played around with a few ingredients and came up with a delicious recipe for a Nutella Iced Mocha. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Ingredients:
Directions
Pour 3 or 4 heaping teaspoons of instant coffee into a coffee mug. Pour about 1 inch of water over the coffee and stir until the coffee is dissolved. You’ll have what looks like a shot of espresso. While the coffee is still hot, stir in 1 tablespoon Nutella and mix until mostly dissolved.
Either transfer the coffee and Nutella mix into a heat resistant glass or keep in the coffee mug. Then fill the glass with ice and add enough milk to triple the amount of coffee. Finally, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa powder for an added touch. Sip slowly and enjoy!
This weekend, Swim and I went to the Outback Kangaroo Farm in Arlington, WA. We had a great time petting Kangaroos, Wallaroos, and Alpacas. You’d be surprised at how soft Kangaroos really are…and friendly! We even got to hold a baby Kangaroo!! So adorable 🙂
I hope you enjoy our photos from our adventure.
